Okay fuckers!! This is the first update the M.S.I. site has had in around 11 months or more. So in case you needed further proof that we are completely slack pieces of shit, then there you go. Fortunately we have kept jamming and playing shows though, so the music still exists- if you can call it that. Ok- this is some of what M.S.I. has done since the last update: Firstly- back in October last year we did our DTS album launch…it’s so fucking laughable cos we recorded the piece of shit in February 2003 haha…anyway, we played with Born Headless (who blew everyone away with their first performance since the new line-up and reformation), Hammerhead and Space Raven. Was a great show- awesome turnout and killer response! We loved every second of it!

In November we played at a new festival called “Rage at the Ranch”. A rather adventurous little idea, in the north-west of the state. Over 30 bands, including several well known interstate acts like Bodyjar, 28 Days, The Go Set and others along with heaps of Tas bands. Us and Zero Degrees Freedom were the only metal bands and we played back to back on the Sunday arvo. The turnout for the whole thing was fucked, but the set-up and organisation- at the event itself, not leading up to- was top notch (except for a few minor probs here and there). We had fun, and seriously had an awesome response- I think people were wanting something a little different all weekend. Brutal slam once again reigned supreme haha…

At the beginning of the year (end Jan and start Feb) we embarked on our 2nd mainland tour in as many years, to support the release of DTS. Similar to our last effort we played Geelong, Melbourne, and Sydney but this time with the addition of Canberra onto our schedule. One of the major differences is this time we took our sick Tassie bro’s Mephistopheles along, and it was fuckin’ killer to hang and play shows with those lads! Anyway- back to the gigs- The Geelong show was smaller than our last, but still the crowd loved it and we enjoyed ourselves playing possibly our tightest set. The following night we played the Noise Bar in Melbourne- our tightest set EVER, and once again not a huge crowd BUT better than our first show and a far more enthusiastic crowd. We slammed it up and loved it. We then had a week of hanging in Melbourne (well, Chalky did but all the other cunts went back to work for the week) with accommodation courteously provided by Mark and Scott of Alarum (THANKS YOU CHAMPS) and of course Stacey and Aaron. Thanks heaps to the bands we played with- Befallen, Die Pidgeon Die and Excarnated!! You ruled!! (Not as much as us, but still mildly- haha)

The following weekend after a lovely long drive up the Hume we hit Canberra for the first time. It was a crazy venue, and we had fun as usual smashing out some slam. The turnout was kinda abysmal, but just getting to play with and see Rake Sodomy for the first time made it all worthwhile- they ripped it! The people who were their dug it heaps, so fuck it we’ll be back!! On the Saturday night we returned to Sydney and played the at an even sicker venue. The Marquee is a killer place to play- hope to again- but it woulda been nice to see it packed…but as if haha!! But yeah, not a huge crowd again but decent and they really dug us!! A nice experience seeing new young guns Beyond Terror, Beyond Grace play- sick drummer, cool lads…and of course Ebolie who always put on a sick show. Thank to all the bands and especially Bubsy for the assistance in promo. So all in all it was a fun as fuck little tour, hope to make the next one bigger and more brutal- KEEP AN EYE OUT!!

Perhaps the most important thing that has happened to M.S.I. of recent times is a major line-up change!! Slamming death-whip master Peppo made the hard (according to him haha) decision to leave the band late last year. We will miss him (mostly his salty sweat), and we enjoyed having that cunt in the band. Replacing the man is Tassie metalbeast Jarrod Carter (also known as the “Jizzmaster” or simply “Jizz”- as named by us of course)- former guitarist with Corpse Carving. He has been an awesome replacement- very tight player and likes a bit o the old headbanging too! It’s especially great to have another person with hair in the band…no more bald heads haha…(wait on, wait ‘til you see…anyway) . But yeah, we welcome the Jizzmaster with open arms (and ass cheeks)- lets see if we can keep this one!! Jarrod’s first shows were on the Victorian leg of our tour, in which he played the last few songs of each set but his first proper show was at SD #4- and he’s been playing ever since!!

Also in February we played at Sonic Distortion 4. The turnout was fuckin’ insane, was the best one so far. We played before IHR and had the biggest crowd and sickest response which blew our minds cos WE ARE SHIT!! But yeah, we loved it and were very happy all these people were suffering the delusion we were good to watch. But yeah, great turnout- awesome event…we won’t play it again for a while, but keep an eye out for the next one…it’ll be killer!! And as mentioned this was our first proper show with JazzaJizzler on bass, which was fuckin’ cool as!!! (except for him, who must be wondering what he’s got himself in for!!)

In March we had a sick little surprise from overseas! One of the worlds sickest and most brutal groups Disgorge (U.S) came and descended upon the country like a rapist at an amputee picnic. Fuckin’ top lads, and sick live band. We played with them twice in Melbourne- killer line-ups – poor turnouts considering- but they will be back and next time we’ll be promoing that shit hard. But yeah, the crowds loved them, and we went down a treat too- but played pretty shit COS WE ARE!! But yeah, was awesome hanging and playing with those lads, one of the highlights of the band for sure.

During our Jan/Feb Tour and at the Disgorge Melb shows M.S.I. played at a venue called “The Noise Bar”. This bar is the place where they film shit for SBS’s NOISE TV!! And yeah, M.S.I. was filmed and interviewed and had our interview and a song featured a few weeks after the Disgorge shows. It was kick arse getting national coverage, and showed the entire nation what useless sacks of shit we are…But yeah- for anyone who saw it or sees it- we don’t have three vocalists- we happened to have Ben and Jules from Mephistopheles onstage with us for some guest gutturals on the song featured…also our new bass-master Jizz-ometer was there but not featured on the live clip and the poor fucker missed out on the interview too for some reason…just wanted to clear that crap up. Anyway- keep an eye late on Friday and Saturday nights (and early mornings) on SBS for some freaky M.S.I. on Noise TV action!!!

CURRENT NEWS!!!
Since Disgorge we have been quietly and methodically writing and completing songs for an upcoming recording. We played one show a few weeks ago which was a huge success considering we were “headlining” and there was only 2 local acts (Ice Eater and Taberah) on the bill- over 155 payers at the Trout with 190+ actually coming through the door (we had a huge door list), that fuckin’ ruled- but is/was to be our only show for some time!! So here’s the major news- M.S.I. will be hitting the studio on June the 26th to begin recording the follow-up to “Dream the Serenade”. We have 10 or 11 (we’ll see haha) new songs ready to smash out, all of which are FAR more brutal, slammy and intense than anything off DTS. This next release will smash DTS to the dust, so be prepared to vomit the second you hear it. One similarity it will have is that is will also be complete shit like DTS, so buy it for a laugh. Progress on the state of recording will listed periodically here, so keep an eye out (we will actually update more often now haha). Oh, and speaking of DTS- Yes, it’s still very available to all you lovely people. We want you to own it, cos it’s fun and worth the money it costs!! It’s only $20 postage included (within Aus), the address to send shit to is on this site somewhere!! We will probably get paypal set up too, keep an eye out for updates!! Oh, and as always…Gn, Gn, Gn...

Well, it has happened, the moment you (and we) have all been dreading- Dream The Serenade has finally been released!!!. Yes, the recording that has been sitting on the shelf (literally) for 2 ½ years has finally sign the light of day (much to the dismay of the newly established "Anti-M.S.I. Squad, led by the bad themselves!). Yes, this disgusting little around 40 mins of dirty caveman death slam is now available directly from us, so yeah….be sickened! And as promised (and/or suggested) it has been packaged as a double CD/DVD with the revolting "Live at The Polish Club" 2004 DVD in tow.
The DVD itself looks pretty good (thanks to a couple of cunts, Brady and esp. Stuart) which is surprising due to most people believing the faces alone of the M.S.I. boys would be enough to crack any camera lens!. The sins committed simply by Rick and Chalky opening their mouths during the performance are not to be forgiven, but you must hear/see it to believe it!

But yes, despite the self loathing (and the fact the new material and sound destroys anything heard on this release) the boys are quite happy with how it turned out. The layout looks sick (thanks to Webmaster Tom Pryer for his lightning fast and last minute help) and has some kick ass new cover art (diff to the promos disto'd last year) done by the man Bill Dean himself!. That is viewable some fuckin place on the site- so go look for it you lazy bastards! The disc is available directly from us (although people in Europe will soon be able to get it from Goremageddon Productions, as this is who is releasing it there) at the address listed in the contact info section.
The cost is $25 AUS within Australia (inc. postage), or $20 U.S (via international money orders or well concealed cash) elsewhere in the world. Also local distro Southern Extremeties Productions is also selling our shit at the same address as us- so feel free to address shit to those losers as well, and make 'em feel special!. People in countries who would prefer to pay in their own currency just email us at the contact address and we'll tell you what it works out to be!

We will more than likely be getting some album shirts pressed up soon, so keep an eye out- and we will also be re-pressing the popular "I choked on my grandmas strap-on" shirts (in medium as well this time) as we are currently SOLD OUT!!!
Also, you may or may not have noticed we scrapped that old piece of shit of a guestbook and now have a spanking new one-that someone likened to the colour of turd (which whilst unintentional is entirely appropriate!). So come check it out, and sign the motherfucker!!!

Also, any metal bands who LIKE US or THINK WE ARE FUNNY and want to trade links, don't be shy- but if you don't love metal, don't bother!
So come on cunts, join the M.S.I. family and see what the word "disturbed" really means

M.S.I.'s yet to be released full length "Dream The Serenade" will be out soon. Over 2 YEARS have passed since it's recording, and all members (and hopefully the metal community) are anxious for it birth. The album will be released in conjunction with a DVD. Yes, that's right! a DVD!!!. The ridiculousness of a live M.S.I. show will now be able to be viewed in the comfort of your own home, and motherfuckers on the other side of the world can now see what they miss out on and be thankful!!!

M.S.I. has been playing shows regularly, and recently made its 2nd trip to mainland Australia, which was great! This trip was different in many ways- one of these was it was the first mainland appearance of bass man Peppiatt, who loves his slam dog moves. Also the band travelled to Geelong this time (last time it was just Melbourne shows) as well as Sydney. The Geelong show was infused with drunken disarray on the behalf of 2 of the members (guess who!!!), but the crowd loved it, so that was "o.k.". The Melb show was the tightest most brutal set M.S.I. have done, and the half of the crowd who actually cared (the "Melbourne grind syndicate" elitism was in full force that night) loved it, and the boys had a great night.

Sydney was cool, with Peppo's little slam project featuring Chalky and a drum machine entitled Goreverk received a better response (and played better) than they did in Melb (note that was left unmentioned….), and due to the heckling from a fuckwit made their set memorable. This heckling also led to a near punch-up - M.S.I. V'S Syd death metal crew- (while one of the local supports were playing between Goreverk and M.S.I.) which would've been awesome, apart from the fact then the Tassie Slam Boys would've been kicked out and unable to perform. Fortunately the bouncer ran in and sorted things out, giving the Iguana Men a chance to ply their trade. The crowd was great, and so was the show. Mr Fuckwit even enjoyed it, which was the icing on the cake.

M.S.I. have also been playing many local shows with a variety of killer local cunts, such as Mephistopheles, Corpse Carving, Zero Degrees Freedom and Nosce Tiepsum. They have been playing selected tracks off the DTS album, as well as continually playing new material, with practically a new song being unleashed at each local show.
Currently M.S.I. is writing music for a new recording with 8 full new songs, and another one on the way. They hope to be in the studio within 4 months, and are VERY anxious to get out their new material, as they feel it is the strongest yet, and Rick is very keen to out-guttural anything in his path!. So stay tune folks, M.S.I. are here for good…and the sickness will just keep coming!!!
